BIOLMIEL 2021 Results
The 2021 edition of BIOLMIEL, the International Prize for the best organic honey, was held in Matera (Italy) the 17th and 18th of December 2021 and saw the participation of 195 honeys coming from Greece, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. This edition High Quality Medals were awarded by BIOLMIEL International Jury and later confirmed after the completion of the analysis of the honey samples for HMF and water content by the Italian research institute CREA of Bologna.
In the first positions of monofloral honeys are the following products:
First: Sardinian beekeeper OP TERRANTIGA with an eucalyptus honey harvested in San Sperate (Sardinia)
Second: Lombard beekeeper ZIPOLI DI BALARINI ANCILLA with a chestnut honey
Third: Greek beekeper AMORGIANO with a thyme honey harvested in the Greek island of Amorgos
While the first polyfloral are:
First: Greek beekeeper TIMALFES with an autumn polyfloral
Second: Greek beekeeper THE FAMILY BEEZ
Terzo: Sardinian beekeeper BARBAGIA DI PUDDU ANTONIA
